The Forward Motion and The Backward Mom

Most parents bemoan their children growing up, claiming that they want each kid to stay the same age they are that very day. If I had said that before a couple weeks ago, I wouldn't have been able to see this sweet walking.

I have loved every age of both of my kids. The older they get, the better I like them; if that comment makes me sound like their likeability as newborns was at zero, then maybe I have outed myself. Caleb is the baby person around here.

Someday Lucy will be walking AND talking, carrying the wallet AND spending the money in it. I can't wait for those days.

  1. You have so outed yourself - and I'm pretty sure I'm right there with you.

Cute little girl you have on your hands!

  2. I can't believe that Lucy can walk already! I love how she just plops herself on her butt when she's tired. Too cute.

  3. I like her wide power stance. It's the same one I use when skiing. Except mine's more pizza-slice-y.

  4. That skirt she is wearing really accentuates her cute "just starting to walk" walk. She is adorable!

  5. I'm not going to lie - I love love love my cute little newborn, but I won't mind getting past the "needing to eat every two or three hours" stage, and getting to the "smiling and laughing" and actually able to DO something stage...
