The Beginning of a Fun, Fun Game

Kellie and Daddy were assigned the task of finding a fun treat for Family Home Evening tonight. When they returned from the grocery store, they revealed that they chose Klondike ice cream bars as the snack of champions. We all started singing the jingle from the commercials, "What would you do for a Klondike bar?"

And then, magic happened.

Julie and I suggested that we change our Family Home Evening activity to "What would you do for a Klondike bar," where someone chooses what another family member should do in order to receive their Klondike bar. Everyone agreed that it was a grand idea.

Later that night, Kellie assigned the partnerships (Holly would choose for Julie, Daddy would choose for Kellie, etc.). And honestly, people will do some crazy things for a Klondike bar, like:

  • Reenact five classic family home movie moments. Julie was able to spread the love to most of the sisters by choosing some amaaaazing memories from each of our repertoires).
  • Do 10 push-ups. Carlie has some awe-inspiring upper-body strength!
  • Runway walk around the living room like a super model, which of course, Kellie is.
  • Play "Snaps" in an epic fashion. Mommy is the winner at this game constantly.
  • Tell bad jokes in succession, which Daddy willingly obliged to do.
  • Display awesome Core Rhythms skills. I unfortunately failed at the task, but was granted a Klondike bar anyway.
So, what would YOU do for a Klondike bar?

  1. I don't know what I would do, I don't remember ever having one.
