Flannys Do Disney

We made it, Mickey! We came to visit you on your turf.

Jack is a Disneyland pro, having been three times in his first year alone, in addition to many times since then. Lucy had not visited yet, but it was obvious when she went through the gates that she was excited. Almost every attraction was met with the fervor seen below.

Lucy's highlight of the day was "It's a Small World." She loves to hear singing and the stunning, glittery visuals of the ride provided something to look at at every turn. She sat with Grandma Chatfield and took in the sights.

And Jack's trusty adviser on this Disneyland trip was his cousin Jett. Jett lives in Pasadena and goes with his meemaw (my sister Shelley) frequently; he knew exactly what he wanted Jack to see. We made it onto Dumbo, Buzz Lightyear, the Adventures of Pinocchio, Peter Pan's Flight, and many others. The boys had a stellar time, and I can honestly say that I loved watching them every minute of the trip.

And in case you're wondering, yes, my children went three shades darker while in California. The tan suits them, as does California.
