Is This Love of Ours a Lie?

What is your current obsession?
The color green, stripey-diapered baby buns, becoming nomadic.

What's for dinner?
Perhaps nothing. The Flanny Clan has decided to individually have incredibly different eating schedules upon our reuniting. If it comes down to brass tacks, though, breakfast for dinner.

What's the last thing you bought?
A skein of heather grey yarn to make a tassle blanket for Jack-o and approximately one ton of Martha Stewart Crafts silver glitter for Miss Kellie. Unfortunately, Jack ate the label on the yarn on the way home. He had an awesome sticker beard.

What are you listening to right now?
P-p-p-poker face, p-p-poker face. Followed by The Mars Volta.
If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
To Redlands, in order to get my sneakers from the trunk and to pinch Julie in the elevator.

What's your favorite quote (for now)?
"Let's go on a living spree, they say the best things in life are free." - Kanye West

What's your favorite piece of clothing in your own wardrobe?
The Korean soccer shirt. Bought at the Salvation Army 7 years ago and now extremely threadbare, it remains the most often worn piece in my wardrobe.

What's your dream job?
If we're being honest, I'm doing it. Working at Northridge Media has everything I want: written words, lovely people, and creativity that I don't have to actually create.

What's your worst habit?
I am a big ol' flake, and I hate it so much. I think I need to understand that if people make plans with me, they actually want to see me.

Do you admire anyone's style?
Every time I see Paige Evans, I have a heart attack.

Describe your personal style?
Post-two-pregnancies-whatever-the-heck, plus sandals connoisseur.

What are your favorite movies?
Indie think-a-lots or plastic tragedies.

What inspires you?
This is going to sound like a load of crap, but I inspire me. Reading my own journals and looking back at pictures inspires me to live a life that I will be happy to have lived.

What's your favorite book?
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, Why Girls are Weird by Pamela Ribon, Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell

Do you collect something?
I used to collect Elvis Presley memorabilia, but now I think I collect epithets.

What do you like most about yourself?
That I am constantly striving to be a better me. It is always at the forefront of my mind.

What's your go-to nail polish color?
Black!
